Information Technology

The duties of our Information Technology Branch at ADEM are wide-ranging. Given the nature of Emergency Management it is necessary for the System Administrators to be ready to stand alone from any other state agencies in the event of a disaster. They are charged with installing, supporting, and maintaining ADEM servers, and planning for and responding to service outages and other problems. Other duties include scripting or light programming, project management for system related projects, supervising or training ADEM computer users, and being the consultant for computer problems beyond the knowledge of technical support. They demonstrate a blend of technical skill and responsibilities to ensure the automation of Emergency Management processes for the State of Arkansas.
