The ADEM Exercise Section is the central point for Statewide Emergency Management and Homeland Security exercise program management and coordination in the State of Arkansas. The Exercise Section coordinates closely with Federal, State, and Local jurisdictions and agencies to support a self-sustaining and robust exercise program. Exercises represent the apex of emergency preparedness activities and provide for a structured analysis of the state and local emergency management response system. The ADEM Exercise Section uses an all-hazards approach to emergency preparedness exercise implementation and oversight. The State of Arkansas participates in several federal exercise initiatives including the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) and the Radiological Emergency Preparedness Program (REPP).
