Planning

Hand pointing at PaperThe Planning Branch of the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management works to continually improve the State’s ability to help minimize the loss of life and damage to property in jurisdictions affected by disaster. In completing this task, members of this branch coordinate the yearly review and revision of the Arkansas Emergency Operations Plan, work with each of the State’s 77 emergency jurisdictions, and help insure that federal, state and local emergency response plans complement and support each other. The Planning Branch also works with State agencies and other organizations to create and implement continuity of operations plans and works with the FEMA Region VI to develop joint Federal/State plans.

In everything we do, the Planning branch of the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management strives to meet or to exceed the recommendations and the standards set by experts in the planning field as well as guidance from the Federal Government.
