Fire Services Mission Statement

 

Administration of the Arkansas Act 833 fire grant program and provide

 technical assistance and support to fire departments in Arkansas by assisting paid

and volunteer departments in enhancing their fire capabilities.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fire Services Office Provides

 

· Administration of the Act 833 grant program for Arkansas Fire Departments.

· Carry out administrative functions and directives from the Arkansas Fire Protection Services Board.

· Review and certify that departments are in accordance with Act 833 of 1991.

· Distribute Act 833 funds to Arkansas fire departments.

· Provide technical assistance.

· Provide grant information.

· Support for developing new fire departments.

· Training information.

· Coordinate with Region VI on scheduling and placement of FEMA Workshops.

· Promote the exchange of information among fire departments and state agencies.
