STATE EMERGENCY RESPONSE COMMISSION

MISSION STATEMENT

To supervise and coordinate the activities of the local emergency planning committees (LEPC) in each of the emergency planning districts making sure (1) that plans in each district are adequately developed, maintained and exercised to ensure an effective response to accidents and incidents involving hazardous materials and (2) that the emergency response plans along with the information pertaining accessible for review by the general public.
